Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.)
BBA course at AIMS was started from academic session 2007-08. Its courses run into three years under 6 semesters. BBA is approved by the AICTE and affiliated to HP University Shimla.
ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility for BBA is +2 examinations with 50% mark under 10+2 system of examination or equivalent from a Board / University established by law in India. The candidate belonging to reserved category will be given relaxation by 5% in qualifying examination as per state government norm and existing reservation guidelines of UGC. Candidate passing +2 or equivalent examination from foreign institution recognized by equivalence committee should have 50% marks as minimum eligibility (45% in case of SC/ST candidate). BBA Course is allotted 50 seats in total. Admission to the BBA Course is made through score achieved on the basis of academic performance, Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview. The percentage division will be as follow:

1) 80% weightage to the marks scored in +2 examinations.
2) 10% each for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview.

However, the admission process is completed under the supervision of the faculty member nominated by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of HP University Shimla. Candidate applying for BBA admission must enclose attested copies of each certificate confirming their minimum eligibility for admission.

Final Examination:- Examination form of BBA Students will be sent to the University only after fulfilling the following conditions:
  1. 75% class attendance is compulsory
  2. House test is compulsory to be passed with at least 40%
  3. Internal assessment (25%) based on academic performance, conduct and behavior

Library and its rules:- The Library of the institute is a soul of its life the institute library is scholars pride with the host of books on management and computer science. The institute has a spacious well stocked library with volume drawn from diverse field of Management Studies, apart from some of the best national and international journals and magazines. The library has a seating capacity of 100 readers and it is stocked with 2000 books in addition to number of national and international journals with sufficient number of daily news papers. However, use of books and perorates are subjects to following rules:
  1. A students can use two books at a time for the duration of seven days. He/She can keep the same after seeking prior permission from the Director for tenure.
  2. The library books are the property of the college and the students making any sort of damage or loss to them will have to pay double the original price of the respective book.
  3. Reference books and journals will not be issued to the students in any case expect for consultation in the library.
  4. The students should pay strict attention to the library rules framed by the college regarding issuing of the books.
Computer Lab:- The institute provides state – of – art computer system with advance technologies to maintain itself in pace with the fast changing needs of the IT industry. According to the varied requirements of the students, the institute provides facilities in computer lab, which is equipped with 60 computers having Pentium series processors, 360 GB HDD, 1 GB RAM, Windows XP, MSPaper Office 2003/2007, other software (Like Turbo C/C++, Visual Basic 9 with MSDN and LCD Monitors, Which are networked with each other through Windows server/Unix Server. The lab consists of high speed (2-8Mbps) Ethernet connection.

Seminar Hall:- The institute has well decorated seminar hall with HI-Tech OHP and Digital Projector for the grooming of the students. The capacity of seminar hall is of 200 students.

Dress Code:- It is one of the integral part of discipline which any institution enforce to maintain its dignity and standard. A dress code will be informed to the student before start of the classes/session by the college. Dress code is compulsory and any student not abiding by it will be subjected to fine of Rs. 20 per day.

Mode of Fee Payment:-
  1. The first installment of the admission fees will be colleted from the students at the time of admission.
  2. The student must deposit remaining fee to the college strictly within 30 days of the admission of course.
  3. All payment should be made in the in accordance with notified schedule.
  4. All payments should be made in cash.
  5. Once payment is made, it will not be refunded in any case.
  6. The security amount paid to the college by the student will be refunded to them in the form of cross cheque after the declaration of result of the final examination by HPU Shimla.
  7. The students will not be allowed to take their examination, if balance payment left in their account.
Code of Conduct of their common information:-
  1. Students should maintain the decorum and status of the college.
  2. Students need to follow all the direction issued by the college time-to-time.
  3. Students need to maintain strict discipline during their course in the college premises.
  4. Students should have to respect all the staff members of college and keep the college premises neat and clean.
  5. If, any student found to be in-disciplined a strict action will be taken against him.
  6. Any information, supplied by the students to the college, if found in-correct, his /her candidature will stand cancelled.
  7. Student not following the dress code will not be allowed to attend the classes.
  8. Student shall pay double the fine in case they cause any damage to the college property.
  9. Students shall pay all the amount on their own required for the purpose of the articles/objects needed for practical works arrangement.
  10. Any dispute/problem regarding academic and other activity will be redressed by the Director of the Management Studies.
  11. All the complaints and suggestions will be entertained in any case by the college administration.
  12. The students will not claim for the refund of fees. Once paid in any case what so ever.
  13. If, the course discontinued for any reason or if the student drops out of the course for any case, no claim for the refund of fee shall be considered.
  14. The admission of the students is not transferable in any case.
  15. If, the student takes part in politics or any other anti-social activities, the college administration has discretion to cancel his/her admission or prescribe any other punishment.
  16. Mobile phones are not allowed in college campus/class rooms. A strict action will be taken against the defaulters with a minimum time of Rs. 1000/-.
  17. Students who remain absent from the classes will be charged a fine of Rs. 10 per lecture.
  18. The students who wants Hostel Facilities should have to pay one year hostel charges and six month mess charges in advance.
  19. The students who want to use Transport facilities of the college should have to pay one year transport charges in advance.
